'Show the Loo' live in iTunes app store, providing directions to public toilets in Australia
![]()
After many days of waiting for Apple's approval, 'Show the Loo' can now be downloaded for free in the App store! We also launched a mini-site under showtheloo.com for product support.
The concept: "Show the Loo allows you to find public loo's in Australia (also commonly referred to as toilets, washrooms or WC's) and receive directions to your loo of choice, right when you need it."
Our main design goals were simplicity, accuracy and speed whilst having fun developing this wonderful little app. And so it is quite rewarding to have received a review from a user who wrote that 'Show the Loo' was "Simple, effective and free!". On day #1 we have already climbed to the top of the free apps in the Navigation category as well.
There are so many ideas we had during our initial brainstorming sessions that we would like to include in future releases and based on feedback we receive. We did our best to stay focused on the main use-cases for version 1.0 . Some future features might include 'rating' the loo's, searching by postal-code, further directions guidance by tracking to the "final destination" and all sorts of other goodies.
Many thanks go out to eBrands - a brand and digital design agency with offices in Sydney and New York - who did an amazing job of supporting us in molding the look & feel of the app, in particular for the icon that seems guaranteed to elicit a smile from anyone's face. As well as to our dear developer Yann for his quest for perfection in anything he does, Ton from wideopenwin for creating the content template in zero time and our lovely transLucidonline for being the simple, website publishing-system that it is.
Any support questions, ideas and all please get in touch with us via our customer support site.
As we hinted at previously this will certainly not be the last application we will launch. One down, many more to go.
